Cohort Masterclasses
Time-limited, focused sessions exploring specific areas of computing and digital thinking.
What these are
Cohort masterclasses are short, focused learning sequences designed to explore a single area in depth — for example version control, data concepts, or AI literacy.
They are offered periodically when a topic benefits from shared discussion and comparison, and are not a substitute for ongoing 1:1 coaching.
How they work
- Small groups
- Fixed duration (typically 3–5 sessions)
- Clear scope and focus
- One topic only
- Delivered online
What they are not
Masterclasses are intentionally limited in scope. They are not designed to replace individual coaching or provide broad curriculum coverage.
- Not drop-in tuition
- Not general coding clubs
- Not ongoing programmes
- Not exam or certification preparation
Example topics
Topics vary depending on demand and educational value. Examples of past or potential masterclasses include:
- Version control and collaboration (concepts before tools)
- Understanding data and databases
- How modern AI systems work — and where they fail
- Programming structure and patterns beyond syntax
Eligibility & fit
Masterclasses assume some prior familiarity with computing concepts. Where appropriate, participation may be recommended following individual 1:1 coaching.
Pricing & availability
Masterclasses are priced individually and run only when there is a clear educational case for doing so. Availability is limited and sessions are not run continuously.
